Everest Interaction Program with Nepali Scientist, Dr. Mahabir Pun

Motherland Nepal, Skylex-Immigration, and Everest Cuisine welcomed Dr. Mahabir Pun to the Bay Area on August 1, 2022.

Motherland Nepal, Skylex-Immigration Service, and Everest Cuisine will be hosting Dr. Mahabir Pun’s interaction program at the Everest Cuisine, San Jose, from 12 pm to 3 pm on August 1, 2022. Dr. Pun has dedicated his entire life to the service of those people who remain outside the radar of the government and other development sectors. Currently working as the Director of the National Innovation Center, Nepal, Dr. Pun has not only uplifted the life standards of commonplace people by providing internet services among those living in the remote corners of Nepal but also kindled the light of hope among thousands of marginalized youths whose access to scientific research would remain only a dream had he not been able to channel their skills through the Innovation Center.

Dr. Pun received the Ramon Magsaysay Award from the Philippines for his “community leadership and innovative application of wireless technology in Nepal, bringing progress to remote mountain areas by connecting his village to the global village.” The award has been called “the Nobel Prize of Asia.” Pun also received an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from the University of Nebraska, along with many national and international awards and recognitions.  It would be an honor for all of us to meet and greet with him and learn more about his service to the communities and contribution to the advancement of innovative and scientific research in Nepal. One of the Organizers; Everest Cuisine-San Jose will be providing the free authentic Nepali lunch for all attendees.

Motherland Nepal, a Bay Area-located non-profit organization, has been actively working to promote community service and enhance cross-cultural and mutual relationships among communities in the area. Working as a cultural bridge between Nepal and the U.S., Motherland Nepal has been organizing events that engage and benefit both Nepali-American and other communities around the Bay Area.

Everest Cuisine, as a renowned local restaurant business, has been serving a larger number of people in the Silicon Valley Bay Area by providing quality and tasty Nepali and Indian dishes and introducing Nepali cultural palate in the U.S. Whether you’re new to authentic Nepalese and Indian food or a seasoned connoisseur, Everest Cuisine is proud to be one Mountain View’s and San Jose’s most popular Nepalese and Indian restaurants. Throughout the years Everest Cuisine has remained popular in the local community, becoming a familiar favorite, a chosen caterer for private events, and a frequent location for business meals.

Similarly, Skylex-Immigration is an app that can help anyone quickly find the right lawyer, get connected, and get help. You can find a lawyer by name or practice type. Their professional legal team will identify the type of lawyer you need and will connect you with an attorney in your area. If you’re not sure what sort of attorney you need, just ask a question in the Support Tab and they’ll take it from there.

All of these organizations (Everest Cuisine, Skylex-Immigration service, and Motherland Nepal) have worked hard to make this event possible in the Bay Area so they could reach out to communities at large and promote service values that are dear to all of us. This interactive program aims to share his works and aggregate inspiring ideas, suggestions, and opportunities in Nepal.
